Badger got up and went for breakfast, returning again with bread rolls for Sazzy :-)
Badger then went off to meet our mate RAVI!!!! to give him our driving licence details and to get the Keys for the car while Sazzy got up out of bed and dressed herself and sorted herself out to go out for the day!
Sazzy left to go meet Badger as he was on his way back, they would not accept his card as it was not a credit card so he needed Sazzys... :-( Oh dear....
All was sorted and we went to see the car... Sazzy nearly died when she saw it was red!!! (Red cars are bad luck lol)
Oooh it was all nice we were shown how to put the roof down and all the buttons etc!
We then got the last of our stuff, put the roof down and headed off on our Mini adventure!!!
After a fair amount of time... Badger had to pull over so we could put the roof up... it started to hammer it down! We then had the trouble of who had to stop breathing as we were completely steamed up lol!!!
We soon arrived in Curepipe... which was leathal on the shiny paving in flip flops so Badger spent most of the time holding Sazzy up, where we looked for the only bank that could change the Indian rupees.
We finally found the place to change them and got a poor exchange rate! But it was more spending money! :0)
Finally shopping time :) yey :) hehehehe:) We looked in some shops, starting first with the only real shop in the world, O'neill :) yey, here Sazzy purchased a long sleeved top which is gorgeous, MMMM!
Badger did not find anything of choice! :( we looked round more shops and didn't find much that interested us so we decided it was time to get food... we didnt take the Picnic this time as it was soo disappointing last time... Sazzy drove to KFC where Badger had a Zinger Burger and Sazzy had chicken nuggets and potatoe wedges...
After this Sazzy took the wheel and we drove north on the M1 to Port Louis!!!! (capital!) for MORE SHOPPING!!!! Avoiding the crazy bitch in the Polo we finally managed to park... it was very expensive 30mauritian rupees for 4 hours... (about 70p!!! lol)
We started off by going in the Roxy shop MMM (quicksilver for girls...) Sazzy couldn't find anything nice in her size... the sizes are all massive... so we then moved onto the Billabong ahop where Badger bought some awesome Camo trousers that do his bum a right treat! ;-)
We then moved onto the Quicksilver shop where nothing took our interest. We then moved round the corner to the Ladies Billabong shop which again was most disappointing as there were some nice things only in big sizes again :-(
After this Sazzy saw the Duty Free Diamond shop, where Badger looked at some watches, while Sazzy was trying to pursuade him what he was really looking for was a nice diamond for her hehe.... He was having none of it so we moved onto the indoor market with all the hand made things on the island from wooden carvings to hand paintings... We got a little warm in here and had to dash out for a quick beverage before continuing.
We did not see anything in here so we then headed around the Phase II of the shopping centre and went into more shops, including Hugo Boss, Polo Ralph Lauren, Peace Angels, and a few more. Again nothing took our fancy so we went outside and took some pics of the port and some geek in massive rimmed glasses statue! (the guy on the bank notes!)
After this we went to Pizza hut so Sazzy could eat yet again! (She's such a fatty!!!) She had Pizza for one! Double cheese!!! We the went back to the car and headed off to Floreal... Knowing it might be closed by now... but hell Not going to cost us anything to find out!
So Badger at the wheel we hit the M1 again! (Only this time we were in rush hour traffic jam) Just like at home!
We got to Floreal and didn't think much, asides the fact everything was closed there was not as much there as we had been told. We got fuel and headed off (we were hoping a home bound direction) We soon found our way again and then realised we were still in the wrong place. We pulled over and exchanged drivers... Sazzy then stopped at the police station to ask for the directions... we were on the right track :-)
We got back to the hotel and decided not to unpack the car but to go straight for dinner... it was well deserved!!! The Waitress turned Badger back to go change his 3/4 length trousers... I promptly pointed out to her as she was seating me that there were lots of men in there with shorts on which was unfair...
Badger joined Sazzy after emptying the car and putting on his Loooovely new trousers...
For dinner we started by ordering Beer and B Freeze (for starters like) We then moved on and Badger had a few portions of Beef stuff... Lamb in rosemary and something or other... Pasta thingies... Bread etc... Sazzy had Beef Rague and gratan pasta with lots of bread and butter as usual....
After dinner we took the few paces across to the "B Bar" where we proceeded to get drunk... (like most nights then really) After this we turned in for the night! :-)
All our love Sazzy and Badgee xxxx
