Hmmm... Here goes...
Today we woke up at 7:30, well I did Sazzy went back to sleep while I went to breakfast. I had scrambled eggs on toast with sausages and for the first time here BACON!! :-) After breakfast I went back to the room (with some bread rolls for Sazzy) to make sure that Sazzy was up and getting ready, to my surprise she was up and ready :-P
Sazzy then gave me my birthday card from Fay and Mikey (thanks guys) I then packed my bag for the day while Sazzy waited for the ink to dry on her birthday card to me. We then headed off the the reception to pick up out picnic lunches for the day, but they tried to give us the lunches for room 3017 so while they sorted out that mess we went to collect the keys for a beast of a hire car! (see pics) Once we had done all the paper work for the hire car Sazzy went back to the room to collect the rest of the things for the day and I went to get our picnic.
At about 9:30 we set off the the bird park with Sazzy in the drivers seat! :-S After a few ass twitching moments we got there in one piece. We had to wait a few minutes before the bus came to take us down this very bumpy road. Once at the Lion enclosure we had to sign our lives away just in case the lions got hungry! We were then taken to where we would start our walk with the lions and given a do's and don'ts when walking with the lions. We were then each giving a stick just in case the lions got out of hand. Once all the formalities were out the way we started the walk! Our guide then took us around the park putting meat up trees and in various places to show us what the lions could do. Along the way the guide allowed us to touch the lions and took some pictures of us with the lions up the trees. This was a fantastic experience and I was able to take some really good pictures. Once we signed the visitors book we got back on the bus and headed back to the main building.
We got back and sat in the car with the aircon on full while we had our lunch. After our lunch we had a stroll around the bird park. There were peacock just strolling around without a care in the world. After dodging the very large sprinklers we came across the turtles! Well I think its mating season for turtles as everywhere we look there were turtles going at it like porn stars!! And making some very disturbing noises! (see pics ;-P) After the comical value of the turtles had worn off we continued our walk around the park, we saw some birdies, some ducks and swans, some tigers, (well one) and some little monkeys along with some other animals.
We then went to reception again... where... Sazzy (kept getting called mrs nolan lol!!!) sat and put some stuff on her Badger flea bites! And waited for our Quad biking guide to join us and take us away.
We walked back through the park... past the Turtles... lol to the quad departure point we again had to sign disclaimers and listen to the do's and don'ts of the activity. We were then issued with sexy blue dinnerlady style hair nets and helmets... (Sazzy sooo didn't have a kids one... ok she did just don't tell her dad!!!) we were then taken outside and everyone got on their quads and there were two short for Sazzy and Badger... so they bought another quad out... Sazzy explained we had paid for one each and Badger went off to join people on the practise track while they found another quad for Sazzy... who only got half a lap on the practise track... but just wanted to get into the real thing anyway...
We then lined up and were taken out into the park.... through the sprinklers that were watering the plants, on our way through the park we saw antelopey thingys, we stopped and looked at them. We saw hundreds of deers!!! (Sazzy was sooo not heard sitting there going awww look at bambi!!!)
We carried on through the park going through various rivery bits and up and down bumpy tracks neeeeeeeoooowmmmm!!!!!! We also saw some Ostriches and a few more peacocks and we stopped to take a look. We then carried on through the park going through more rivery things and more bumpy tracks... was sooooo cool!!!
After about 12km we stopped at the top of a massive hill and had a bottle of water each and some quick maintenance on the quads... some people had gotten a flat which they tried to plug with a stick... LOL!!! they then gave that quad to the photographer...!!!! Being so soft skinned Sazzy had a big big blister on her hand :(
we then continued on our way through the park, we stopped to see some HUUUUUGGGEEE Tortoise and then the next stop was when we saw some more deers and some ZEBRAS!!!! *good job we didn't bring the puppy...!!!*
We then hooned through the park doing more crazy exciting things... we went to go down a very very steep hill into the river and Sazzy came off :( This did not stop her getting back on and continuing down the river NEEEOOOOOOWWWMMMM... She kept looking back to see Badger going wild NNeeeeeeeeoooooooooooowwwwmmmmm too!!!!
we then finished the massive trek with a bit of a gentle ride through the park and back to the main departure point! When we got there they got out the first aid box and sorted everyone with blisters and things out, gave us all a drink of coke or sprite, we signed the guest book again and headed off to reception to have a look at our Pictures of the experience... which we will sort out at some point!
We were both absolutely knackered and didn't want to do much else!!! We got in the car, with Badger behind the wheel this time... and started to drive home. We were absolutely filthy, from head to toe in dried muck and all sorts!!! not to mention mud splashes all up our legs from ramping into rivers at 20kmh :) hehe.
We decided to go the scenic route home, which proved amusing. First we stopped at a beach and watched the sunset and took some pics (we shall be posting these on the website at some point!) We then continued... finding that the road had now become a dead end and we were kind of on a beachy thing.... Lol. Sazzy was asking for the chance to do doughnuts like what scardy pup does!!! (it was signposted scenic route!!!)
So we turned around and got back on the main road, where Badger took great pleasure in "seeing what the car had in it!!!" Making Sazzy's ass twitch like it's never twitched before!!!!
Sazzy then went to sleep for the rest of the journey!!!
We got back to the hotel, unpacked the car, went back to the room and were practically fighting over the shower! Badger looked like a native haha! We each had a shower, flagging up the problem that it was not draining and the whole bathroom was flooded!!! Sazzy then rang reception and sat outside to have a smoke. Badger just got ready for the evening and sorted himself out! (avoiding our new water feature) The guy came to check the shower and disappeared...
Sazzy got ready for dinner and we headed out for our long awaited steak Birthday dinner!!!
We got to the restaurant and were seated, we then chatted and Sazzy messed about with the camera blinding Badger a few times. Our steaks were bought out to us looking looooooovely. We both devoured our dinners, they did not touch the sides one bit!!! Badger was adamant that he wanted to get some pudding and I made him wait... I then gave in and took him up to have a look at the puddings. when we got back and sat down Badger had a beautiful birthday cake delivered and the staff trying to sing happy birthday to him! hehe :) the lady then went to give him the usual kiss on each cheek and Badger bless him didn't know what to do with himself.
After dinner we then headed to the bar... as we had been drink free before because of driving we had plenty of time to make up... we started on beer and B Freeze and by the end of the night Badger had sampled many cocktails and I had sampled a sip of each of his and one of my own they bought over for me!
After much drinking we were both soooooo tired we headed in and went to bed.... Nothing would have woken us up!!!
Oh and by that point they had replaced our towels and fixed our shower :) hehe
Lots of love Badger and Sazzy xxxx
Thank you Badger for my pressie of Quad biking and I hope you enjoyed yours! Happy Birthday xxxxx
